About the role as UX writer
As part of a small, close-knit team of designers and developers, you will play a crucial role in shaping clear, concise, and user-centered content that aligns with brand values and best practices. The teams mission is to create a consistent and seamless user experience across all digital touchpoints within Volvo Group.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and support documentation for design and code deliverables.
- Establish UX Writing guidelines, including tone of voice for UX copy.
- Create effective microcopy and ensure consistency across content channels.
- Contribute to the VGDS portal by creating guidelines, presentations, training materials, and more.
- Ensure all content complies with WGAC and other relevant accessibility standards.
- Conduct content testing and refine based on user feedback.
- Mentor designers and developers in UX writing best practices.
- Collaborate closely with the team and stakeholders to support shared deliverables.
Experience, knowledge and skills
- Proven experience in UX writing, ideally within large organizations.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Previous experience working with design systems.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships across roles and seniority levels.
- Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.

This role is a full-time interim assignment via Hammer & Hanborg by Jurek.
The position is a long-term need, with an initial contract period until the end of the year, extendable in six-month increments. Startdate as soon as possible.
The position is based in Gothenburg. (Lundby and Lindholmen)
